Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy) Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are interested in pursuing the course of Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharmacy) must ensure that they are eligible enough as per the specified criteria. This course is approved by the AICTE & PCI, Government of India. After the completion of the course, the candidates will have various scopes in several fields like Community Pharmacist, Hospital Pharmacist, Medicines Safety Manager, Consultant Pharmacists, Clinical Pharmacist, Dispensary Manager, Dispensary Pharmacist, and Medicines Management Technician, etc.

The candidates can find the eligibility criteria below:-

  • The applicants must have qualified their 12th with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), or 3 years degree courses in Science.
  • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in their 12th.
  • Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Eligibility for Diploma in Pharmacy should be fulfilled before going through the admission process. This course is related to the concepts of biochemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology. The program is designed to provide a study of various chemical salts, applications, and uses in medicine. After the completion of the course, there is a great number of jobs in government and private hospitals, private pharmacy stores, pharmaceutical companies, etc.

  • Multitasking:- Multitasking is the ability to perform more than one task or activity at the same time, such as speaking on the phone while driving a car. Multitasking can result in time wasted due to human context switching and becoming prone to errors due to insufficient attention.
  • Patient Counseling:- Patient counseling refers to the process of providing information, advice, and assistance to help patients use their medications appropriately.
  • Professional Ethics:- Professional ethics are principles that govern the behavior of a person or group in a business environment. Like values, professional ethics provide rules on how a person should act towards other people and institutions in such an environment.
